TERRY BAKER
I have been making mosaics for 25 years. Originally, I was inspired by the extraordinary examples from the ancient world and I'm still delighted by the variety and versatility of the possibilities that mosaic offers. I use a range of mosaic specific materials including vitrious glass, unglased ceramic, mirror, smalti and millefiori, as well as buttons, pebbles, shells, beads and other found objects.
I teach 1 and 2 day workshops for beginners or those with some experience in a studio in my garden. I offer a variety of dates throughout 2025.

On a one day 6-hour workshop for beginners, you can make a mosaic approximately A4 size using the direct method of mosaic making.
Examples include a house number, a small tray, a pot stand or a decorative panel.
A 2-day workshop allows for a larger or more complex design to be worked on, of approximately A3 size, such as shallow bowls, trays, and decorative items. Information can be given about different mosaic making processes.
